
Juliette Leong is a 7-year-old Davidson Young Scholar who is enrolled in college courses. She started taking violin lessons at 4 years old. Juliette is a top prizewinner of 17 international competitions, including 1st Place at the 2024 Vahe Khochayan Young Artist Competition, 1st Place at the 2024 Reno Pops Solo & Orchestra Concerto Festival, 1st Place at the 2023 Charleston International 20th Century Music Competition, 1st Place at the 2023 Charleston International Spring Music Competition, Gold Star recipient of the 2023 Music and Stars Awards, 1st Place at the 2022 American Protégé International Music Talent Competition. At 5 years old, Juliette was the youngest violin soloist to perform at Carnegie Hall. At 6 years old, Juliette was the youngest member, First Violinist, and Soloist of The Reno Youth Strings Symphonia, conducted by Laurentiu Norocel. Juliette currently studies with Dr. Ruth Lenz and has participated in masterclasses with Professor Desirée Ruhstrat. Juliette is the youngest member of The Reno Philharmonic Youth Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Jason Altieri. At only 7 years old, Juliette made her orchestral debut with the Susanville Symphony, and she will be making her debut with the Reno Chamber Orchestra in May 2024.
Juliette is also an award-winning and internationally acclaimed artist and the youngest illustrator for Mensa Magazine. She recently won 1st place at the San Jose State University 2024 International Art Contest. Juliette’s paintings have been featured on the cover of two national magazines, Young Mensan Magazine and Humpty Dumpty Magazine, four separate times. She has donated over $150,000 to non-profits from the proceeds from sales of her paintings. Juliette’s efforts have been recognized by ABC News, NBC News, FOX News, Rachael Ray Show, and news stations all over the world. Most recently, she was featured on the cover of Sierra View Magazine March 2024 issue!
Juliette was the research subject of the documentary series, “Exploring Genius”, and she co-starred in her first feature film last summer. Juliette also enjoys playing the piano, guitar, ukulele and she sings the National Anthem for MLBs.
