Haejoo Chang

Haejoo Chang is sixteen years old and from Chino Hills, California. She started playing piano at the age of six and has been playing for over ten years now. She has been doing community service every two months for about nine years, performing on the piano, and singing for seniors as part of a voluntary community service group called F.I.M. (Friends in Music) and is the Vice President of the organization. She has won second place in the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC) Winter Festival Competition in 2020, got an honorary award at the 2021 Junior Bach Festival, got the honorable award in the 2018 and 2021 American Protege, and went to Carnegie Hall to perform, passed the CM advanced level, and has gotten the honorable award for the 2022 American Music Talent Competition, second place in Universal Stars Music, received third place in the Charleston 20th Century Music Competition, and third in the Charleston 19th Century Music Competition. Outside of playing piano, she enjoys playing tennis and hanging out with her dog.
