Entering her third year of the Lyric Theatre Program at the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign, Caitlin M. Towell is a 20-year-old soprano who studies voice with Dawn Harris and Sarah Wigley and coaching with Michael Tilley in preparation for a career in opera and musical theatre. She has seen success in a variety of competitions such as NATS, the Charleston Music, and Great Composer series. She is honored to be a finalist in the Musicians Club of Women Vocal Competition and semifinalist in the James Toland Vocal Arts Competition and the Music International Grand Prix. Favorite stage roles include Babette (Beauty and the Beast), Meg March (Little Women), Phoebe D’Ysquith (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder), Sandra Bloom (Big Fish), and Cosette (Les Misérables). Caitlin can’t wait to perform on stages around the world and is grateful for opportunities that continue to challenge and inspire her on this musical adventure.
